African American Childbirth Educator Training Program

The International Center for Traditional Childbearing (ICTC) African American Childbirth Educator Train the Trainer Program was developed by the ICTC in order to increase opportunities for African American women and their families to access childbirth education services that are conducive to their cultural and community needs. A secondary aim of the program is to address the lack of a diverse workforce in childbirth education.

Certified Breastfeeding Educator Program

The International Center for Traditional Childbearing (ICTC) Peer Breastfeeding Counseling Program is September 2015. This training is the result of the ICTC working closely with the African American Breastfeeding Coalition of Oregon (AABCO) where we realized that there is a shortage of African American Peer Breastfeeding Counselors in Oregon.
